Airport South “Reina Sofia”
Tenerife has two international airports: in the northern part – Los Rodeos Airport, in the southern part of the island – Reina Sofia Airport. Tenerife’s international airport, Reina Sofia, is named after Queen Sofia. Airport Code: TFS, officially called Aeropuerto de Tenerife Sur, is the main airport of the Canary Islands, as well as one of the main airports in Spain.
Airport North “Los Rodeos”
North Airport “Los Rodeos” is located near the capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The official name – Tenerife North Airport, is a full international airport. Airport code TFN. The airport is a transport hub between the islands. There are also flights to Europe, South America, and the most popular route is Tenerife – Gran Canaria (on average 40 flights a day). Flights from Russia usually arrive at Reina Sofia International Airport in the south of Tenerife. If your flight is with transfers, be careful, most likely, the airport of arrival or departure will be located in the northern part of Tenerife. You can get from the airports to the place of rest in several ways: by bus, taxi, car.
By bus
The most economical way. The bus network allows you to get from Los Rodeos Airport to the south of the island, where most hotels are located, within 1.5 hours On bus routes number 102 / 107/108 you will reach Santa Cruz. Then you need to transfer to the bus station (Intercambiador) for bus number 110 to Las Americas, direct. You can take route no. 111, but it makes several stops at the main intersections of Tenerife’s southern highway, but does not stop at the same time in the city. This route will be somewhat longer. The fare will cost approx. 8 euros per person. From Reina Sofia Airport, getting to Las Americas is much faster and easier. The distance between these points is only about 20 km. Taxi
In most cases, tourists use taxi services, the cost of a trip to a hotel in Las Americas is about 25-30 euros. Taxi fare is about 1 euro – 1 km of the way, when you get into a taxi at the counter, there will be 3.5 euros, they will be included in the bill. At night, after 22.00, the tariff is higher by 15%. Payment is possible in cash or by credit card.
From the north airport a taxi ride will cost much more, about 100-120 euros one way.
Rent a car
